Jefferson Valley Pharmacy Staff

Dan Becker

Daniel Becker graduated from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Sciences in 1994. He worked for several independent pharmacies before venturing out on his own when Jefferson Valley Pharmacy opened its doors on February 3rd, 2003. The help of loyal staff and countless hours of dedication have made Jefferson Valley Pharmacy what it is today, a pharmacy that is dedicated to its patients by offering excellent customer service and not afraid to go above and beyond to treat everyone like they are our “only” patient. As we continue to grow, it is our goal to maintain that “Mom & Pop” feel while implementing the latest technologies to continually improve patient care.
Alan Fischer

Alan is our elder statesman, “the old guy” and has practiced pharmacy for over 32 years! After graduating from St. John’s University with a BS in Pharmacy some of his experience has come from Eisenberg’s Pharmacy (Brooklyn NY), Rite-Aid Pharmacy (Hoboken & Lyndhurst NJ), Robert Jacobson’s Surgical Pharmacy (Yonkers NY), Westchester Medical Center (Valhalla NY), owner of Armonk Pharmacy (Armonk NY), CVS Pharmacy (Eastchester & Fishkill NY), Cross River Pharmacy & Compounding Center (Cross River NY) & now Jefferson Valley Pharmacy. Alan brings a diverse knowledge of surgical supplies, hospital pharmacy with I.V. experience, chain pharmacy, human & veterinary compounding, store ownership and community based pharmacy practice. Pharmacy runs in his family as his wife, brother-in-law, and 2 sister-in-laws are all pharmacists! Alan has been a local resident for over 30 years!
Linda Jacolow

Linda has over 30 years of retail experience. She was the Operations Manager for Lord and Taylor in both Garden City and Florida. Until recently, she worked reception for a local chiropractor and at the same time managed a dry cleaning company nearby. After many years Linda has decided to join Dan's team to become the store's Front End Manager seeking a new challange and the cool comfortable air conditioning of the Jefferson Valley Pharmacy! (We really think it was the air conditioning...) When not at the pharmacy she enjoys travel, spending time with her girls and trusted companion, Teddy. Look for her happy face when you come in.
Marina Capote

Marina received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from SUNY Plattsburgh and succeeded in completing her Masters degree in Human Resource Management through Mercy College. In her free time she likes to enjoy the outdoors. She has been with us since 2012 as our pharmacy technician. Marina is well versed in the pharmacy department, assists Linda in front end management and is knowledgeable in surgical supplies. She is always there to greet you with a smile and happy to help.
Mike Mucilli

Mike has been with us over 6 years now as our “Senior Medication Destination Specialist”. He currently attends Pace University and studies Global Marketing. Mike is considered warm and friendly by the patients he frequently delivers to. They especially enjoy his soft tone and politeness as he relays information from the staff.
Adam Hart

Adam attends SUNY Westchester Community College, majoring in Graphic Design. He previously worked for a technology firm as a technology specialist. Adam joins "JV Pharmacy" as a "Medication Destination Specialist" (also mentored by Mike). When Adam is not delivering medication, he enjoys hanging out with friends, playing sports, cooking, and going for hikes. (We have yet to sample his cooking, we'll let you know!) Adam is considered outgoing, friendly, and personable by the patients he delivers to.
Amanda Spiconardi

Amanda is our newest employee, trained by Mike our “Senior Medication Destination Specialist”. She attends Yorktown High school and plans to go to Westchester Community College for two years. After WCC she will transfer to SUNY Cortland and get a degree in Health Education. Her hobbies are being outdoors and cooking (especially boiling pasta and preparing guacamole!). In her spare time she is most likely seen with her identical twin sister. She is friendly, eager to work and make money. This blonde is always smiling and loves to help everyone.
Catherine Becker

Cathy has been on staff for 5 years and enjoys helping patients. She is energetic as this is her second job, her first for a small firm doing “credit & collections”. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren, especially “sleepovers” with the youngest. She is “ultimately” responsible for the store’s success as she is Dan’s mommy.

Staff members who have moved on... and what they are doing now.
George Curanovic

George (RETIRED) was our “Junior Medication Destination Specialist”, trained by the “best”, that is to say Mike. Patients were welcomed warmly as they enter the store and immediately felt comfortable as he assisted them. George is attending Fordham University and will be studying Finance. In his free time he can still be found reading books on compounding his net worth as he aspires to be a millionaire by the age of 30!
Melynie Ferrari

Melynie (RETIRED) was our multitalented cashier extraordinaire. She still has a smile on her face and is the most pleasant greeter in all the land. She is attending Pace University and is majoring in English & Communications. She was with our pharmacy for 3 years. Yay! In her free time she likes to read and write short stories.
Chris DiGuglielmo

Chris (RETIRED) has chosen to follow his baseball aspirations. Pitching in high school he will have the attention of a number of college coaches. When he reaches university he will be studying to become an Occupational Therapist. We wish him all the best!
Alessandro "Alex" Pernoca

Alessandro (RETIRED) currently attends Concordia College School of Nursing. Alessandro’s goal is to become a Registered Nurse and then advance to Nurse Practitioner. Alessandro is a friendly, generous, and optimistic person. When Alessandro is not at the pharmacy you can find him at the gym or playing sports. Alessandro is very intrigued by the medical field allowing Alessandro to enjoy his pharmacy position and at the same time prepare Alessandro for nursing. If you find yourself in a hospital setting, keep your eyes peeled for Nurse Alex!
Lee Baron

Lee (RETIRED) after starting from the beginning with Dan and the pharmacy, has chosen to follow a new course in his life. We wish him all the best! Keep looking for his curly red locks around town...
